Originally there were 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with 2 master bedrooms upstairs, both with terraces. There was also a separate annex with it´s own entrance, kitchen and bedroom with en-suite, but this has now been opened up to the rest of the villa making it a 4 bed, 4 bath property. However, it would be very easy to convert the annex back as all the necessary pipework for a kitchen has been kept. Outside, the villa has off road parking, easy to maintain gardens and a kidney shaped private pool. You will not find stories of Bronze Age settlements, Roman invasions, Moorish occupation or Christian re-conquests, for Ciudad Quesada is a new town, built from nothing by a man with a childhood dream. That man was Justo Quesada Samper and his childhood dream was to build his own city where people could live together in harmony, prosper and enjoy life to the full. His dream started to become a reality in 1972 when building began in what would become the town of Ciudad Quesada - named of course after the man himself, by 1999 the dream had become a reality when Quesada opened its own Town Hall. Rising up on a hillside, close to the older town of Rojales, Ciudad Quesada now stands as a shining monument to what can be achieved by one man with a dream and an awful lot of patience and perseverance. The white villas and houses of the town look down on the surrounding countryside from their lofty position on the hillside, and can be seen for miles around. On the top of the hill you will find an excellent Aqua Splash water park with a great selection of slides and pools, entrance is cheaper than the nearby Aquopolis in Torrevieja, and it offers a great alternative to its better known neighbour. The top of the biggest slide offers fantastic views of the region and in the distance you can see the azure blue Mediterranean Sea, sparkling in the distance. - spectacular. The main access to Ciudad Quesada is through an impressive arched gateway just off the CV-90 road to Torrevieja, and also giving great access is junction 745 of the AP-7 motorway, linking Quesada handily with Alicante, Murcia and Cartagena - the airport at Alicante is just 30 minutes away. The main commercial centre of Quesada is just through the archway and here you will find a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants, Quesada also boasts a Social Club, a Medical Centre and an eighteen hole golf course (La Marquesa Golf Club), designed by guess who? - the great man himself Justo Quesada Samper. Although Quesada itself is new and modern, the nearby towns of Rojales and Formentera del Segura, are much older with many interesting places to visit, well worth a look are the cave houses at El Rodeo (Rojales), dug into the hillside during the 19th Century and now the location of a craft market, be sure to also visit the nearby Shell House a tribute to another man’s incredible patience. Another interesting place to visit is the Natural Park which includes the salt lagoons of La Mata and Torrevieja, now a protected area the Parque Natural de La Mata y Torrevieja is an important area for bird life, there is also a lovely shaded picnic area. For beach lovers, the nearby towns of Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja can provide all that is needed, Guardamar in particular has miles of clean sandy beaches. What next?
